Exhaust Systems
GT exhaust systems to meet the most stringent of noise regulations, high cyclic loading and severe thermal stresses. Using state-of-the art analysis techniques, Higgott-Kane systems stand up to the cyclic duty, turbulent flow regimes and temperature extremes expected in this environment.
Intake Systems
Complete GT intake systems including air filtration, anti-icing, noise control, ducting and support structures. Higgott-Kane provides an optimized balance between low pressure drop and high acoustic performance, allowing for trouble-free operation of this critical gas turbine auxiliary system.
Blowdown and Vent Silencers
High pressure gases being vented to the atmosphere result in some of the highest noise levels in the industry. Vent silencers are essential in keeping this noise at a manageable level, avoiding a hazardous work environment as well as regulatory safety violations.
Higgott-Kane’s vent silencers work for vent and blow down applications in a host of industries. Their vent silencers reduce the noise generated by pressurized steam, natural gas, carbon dioxide, as well as other gases, including pressurized air.
Anti-Icing Systems
Icing can occur at any location within an inlet system as ambient temperatures reach 40°F or lower and a relative humidity greater than 50%. The Higgott-Kane anti-icing system is designed so that the gas turbine engine is protected from icing conditions during cold, humid climatic conditions. Higgott-Kane’s unique anti-icing system uses heat from the engine exhaust gas with virtually zero loss of engine performance.
Package Systems
Higgott-Kane Silencing Package Systems include complete acoustical Gas Turbine Packages including acoustical enclosures with all associated auxiliary systems such as ventilation, fire detection & suppression, electrical components, etc., as well as complete combustion air inlet systems, including air filtration, ducting, silencing, and exhaust systems for simple or combined cycle operation, including diverter gates, expansion joints and support steel.
